John Deere Reman moves production from Edmonton to Springfield.

Continuing the theme that John Deere Reman in Edmonton (Canada) is cutting production. There is also good news that JOHN DEERE is investing $ 10M to modernize its Springfield plant and create additional jobs.

As it became known to the portal Quens County Times from the first sources. John Deere Reman plans to relocate transmission and hydraulic unit production from Edmonton, Canada to Springfield, Missouri.
Springfield has enough production capacity, but John Deere plans to increase them and allocate $ 10 million for modernization, thereby creating 130 additional jobs.
John Deere Reman said that this consolidation of production is planned and is part of a business strategy aimed at further growth of the company. John Deere will continue to consolidate operations around the world and expand production in Springfield, where the company’s center of excellence will be established in the future.
“John Deere Reman is committed to helping our customers become more profitable and sustainable throughout the entire lifecycle of our products,” said Jena Holtberg-Benge, manager of John Deere Reman Business.
The move is expected to be completed by the end of autumn 2021.
Springfield currently has 400 employees. After the final move, the staff will be 530 people, and this is not the limit.
John Deere Reman in Springfield is engaged in the restoration of parts and assemblies for its special equipment, we can say that it gives a second life to broken parts. The production will cover over 2,500 unique part numbers among them:
Engines and Cylinder Blocks Assemblies, Connecting rods, cylinder heads, water and oil pumps, crankshafts and camshafts, turbochargers, fuel pumps and injectors, starters, compressors, generators, alternators, gearboxes, axles, hydraulic pumps, various electronics (monitors, controllers, joysticks) and much more.
Remanufactured John Deere parts are cheaper than their new counterparts, but are not inferior in quality to new ones. All this is done so that customers can reduce investments in their fleet of special equipment and reduce repair costs, thereby increasing their profits.
All remanufactured parts and assemblies manufactured by John Deere Reman are covered by the same warranty as new parts. All remanufactured John Deere Reman assemblies and components deliver the same performance and efficiency as new. All parts are tested and tests are the same as new.
