The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada called on citizens to refrain from any trips to the Russian Federation, and those who are already there to leave its territory immediately.
The Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns its citizens about threats related to mobilization in Russia, with restrictions on financial transactions and increasingly limited opportunities to leave Russia.
“If you are already in Russia, you should leave its territory while there are still communication routes,” advises the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Canadians who intend to stay in Russia are asked to “behave with restraint”. “Reports related to the current situation are being carefully checked by local authorities. You may suffer serious consequences if you discuss, distribute or publish information about the Russian invasion of Ukraine,” the ministry warns.
